All-solid-state batteries with inorganic solid electrolytes(ISEs) are promising next-generation energy storage devices due to the high theoretical energy density and safety in a high temperature battery operating condition. However, it has problem with the practical applications due to major challenges; poor solid-state interfacial contact and air stability. Therefore, comprehensive understanding the material properties and chemo-mechanical behavior of SE is important. We will design a high performance inorganic solid electrolytes and new materials. Further, experimental and theoretical studies are discussed in parallel to give a deep and comprehensive understanding on ISEs.
